1 package vanilla cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup orange dream yum crumbs
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the orange dreamsicle cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cover with alluminum foil until cool but still warm. Mash together until a dough is formed. I prefer to use a stand mixer with paddle
In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted. You may need oil to thin out chocolate.
- Take a small amount of cake crumb mixture and roll it into a bite-sized ball.
- Dip each cake truffle into the melted white chocolate, making sure it's evenly coated.
- Roll the coated truffle in the orange dream yum crumbs until fully coated.
- Place the coated truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
